JAWS TRAINING

Module 1: Introduction to Excel

Basic Navigation in Excel with JAWS

Basic Navigation

Now that Excel is open, let’s explore how to navigate the interface using JAWS. Excel consists of rows, columns, and individual cells where data is stored. JAWS will read aloud the row and column numbers as you move through the spreadsheet.

Use the arrow keys to move between cells. For example, pressing the right arrow key will move you one cell to the right, and the down arrow key will move you down a row. JAWS will announce the cell's position as you navigate.

Key Strokes

  • Arrow keys (Navigate between cells)
  • Ctrl + Home (Move to the first cell, A1)
  • Ctrl + End (Move to the last cell with data)
