In Puzzle Fund, the puzzle image visually represents the fundraising goal. As donations come in, pieces of the puzzle are filled in, gradually revealing the full image.
Each puzzle piece corresponds to a fixed dollar amount – for example, in the puzzle above, each piece is worth $1. When someone donates, the number of pieces filled reflects the size of their gift. For instance, a $5 donation fills 5 pieces, and a $5.50 donation fills 5.5 pieces. Partial pieces are shared between donors, and everyone who contributes to a piece will have their name and message displayed with it.
You can either click on specific puzzle pieces to select which ones you’d like to fill, or simply enter any donation amount to have the puzzle update automatically.
After selecting your donation amount and pressing the Give button, you’ll be invited to add your name and a fun or encouraging note, which will appear on your puzzle piece(s). You can also hover over or click on filled pieces to see the notes other donors have left.

Refunds are available before the funds are withdrawn by the project creator. Post-withdrawal, refunds are generally not possible unless in exceptional circumstances like fraud or gross misrepresentation.

If a project is canceled before its conclusion, all backers will automatically receive a full refund.
